I appealed to the Court of Appeal, and there the lawsuit turned out such that the defendant was sentenced to pay a fine for the violence, to pay for the foal at the value of 25 riksdaler that he himself had fixed, and to reimburse my costs both at the Court of Appeal and at the District Court, which amount came to nearly 50 riksdaler, whereas the foal could not be valued higher than 8 riksdaler, because it was of poor quality.
Jag besvärade mig i Hofrätten, och der utföll rättegången så, att svaranden dömdes böta för våldet, betala fölungen med det värde af 25 R:dr, som han sjelf bestämt, samt att ersätta mig kostnaden så väl vid Hofrätten, som vid Häradsrätten, hvilket belopp uppgick till nära 50 R:dr, då deremot fölungen ej kunde värderas högre än 8 R:dr, emedan den var af dålig beskaffenhet.
